About
Hello, my name is Rozaan and I come from a small, beautiful town called Plettenberg Bay in South Africa. My husband and I moved to Stockholm in the summer of 2022, and it has been such an enriching experience learning about Sweden, it’s culture and it’s people. In my free time, I love spending time outdoors, and I particulary enjoy hiking and swimming. Another passion of mine is baking, which I developed through spending time in the kitchen with my mother and grandmother while growing up.

Experience
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from South Africa and I have experience teaching children between the ages 4 and 9. Prior to moving to Sweden I spent three years teaching first grade where I taught my students three languages (Afrikaans, English, and IsiXhosa), mathematics, and life skills.

My teaching philosophy is centered on creating a student-centered learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. I believe that each student is unique and learns in their own way, and it's my job to create a flexible and inclusive environment that meets the needs of all learners. I aim to cultivate a love of learning by making the subject matter relevant and engaging. I believe that when children are inspired, they become naturally curious, and that curiosity fuels their desire to learn.
