About
My name is Luz Nicolina Vingren, but I am also known as Nina. I’m an engaged, creative 25 years old, born and raised in Stockholm. I’m part Argentinian and part Swedish. My mother languages are primarily Swedish and Spanish but I know the basics of the Korean language as well. I'm an enthusiast when it comes to Asian foods. I’m into photography, DIY crafting and writing music, as well as travelling, reading novels and dancing. My passion in life is to express myself through words, music and art.

Experience
I’m an educated Early Years Practitioner (Barnskötare) in Sweden and have worked in many different nurseries/preschools around Stockholm ever since I was 19. I started out as a volunteer as a youth leader at various summer camps and participated in various activities and events, meanwhile earning experience as a babysitter through my high school years. I started career wise as a substitute practitioner while studying for a ‘Barnskötare’ degree. One of the recent gaps in my professional career has been that I moved to England and studied an internship program in London for 1,5 years - where I volunteered in children’s work such as toddlers playgroups, baby groups and Sunday school teaching.

Child's perspective
As much as the primary responsibility is to care, nurture, discipline and instruct children, I also believe that the importance in childcare is that a child feels seen, heard and valued so that paves a way for developing independency, good self-esteem and an intellectual thinking - as to be understood, respected and supported - no matter their condition and behaviour. All of these teaching opportunities in childcare work require presence, intention, and togetherness. I believe that children carry much joy, curiosity and creativity, and to learn and discover things with them is the best part of the job.
